Most CEOs would have shown him the door immediately. I didn't. I asked him, "Why are you late?" He looked me in the eye and said, "I stopped to help an old lady cross the street, then I fixed her WiFi, and then I built her a Shopify store from scratch on my phone." I tore up his resume.
